Angie’s List Super Service Award Winner 2016 – Greenview Remodeling
Many people wonder what it means when a company wins a Angie’s List Super Service Award. Well in 2016, Greenview Remodeling in Atlanta, Georgia did just that. We knew we had stellar Angie’s List reviews, but being a Super Service Award Winner seemed like sort of a big deal so we looked into it. Here’s what we found out.
All information presented in this article is as per the Angie’s List website, with only minor editorial embellishment by the author.
Angie’s List Pick For Quality Contractors
Something good to know: If Angie’s List presents a door and window contractor in Atlanta, Georgia with a Super Service Award, it means among other things that they have passed a criminal background check. This is very important in the building industry. We hate to say it, since we did win the Super Service Award already so you know we’re legitimate, but there are a lot of fly-by-night operations out there taking advantage of people. We’re glad Angie’s List takes the time to look into these things.
Angie (I assume that’s who checks) also makes sure all Super Service Award recipients have licences to work in their fields, and that are in good business standing with Angie’s List. Of course, if you are doing window and door contractor work in Atlanta, Georgia without a license and someone finds out about it, you will also fail the criminal background portion. Angie looked into us. She agreed that we were totally fine. But that can’t be all it takes, can it?
Extraordinary Service On a Long-Term Scale
Angie also ask that you maintain an overall A rating in three different kinds of service time categories that stress increasingly long terms. That sounds esoteric because it is, but what it means is that you know the vast majority of people we deal with use Angie’s List and rate us highly. But, just for the sake of being thorough, let’s take a look at Angie’s ratings term categories!
Overall Grade
So, the first calculation is just a straight average of all reviews. One might assume this is the normal way to figure how well-regarded a normal company would be on Angie’s list, and they would be right. This is why there are two other categories which are increasingly challenging. Imagine a company who racked up plenty of A ratings at the beginning of their business, but somewhere along the line, started to stray…
Recent Reviews
Angie takes a further set of reviews from the last three years and holds them up to the same A-level scrutiny. This yields a more granular look at the performance of a business over the medium term. Obviously, no business in operation for less than three years receives this award.
Recent Period Grade
This is the most exacting standard. The Angie’s List Super Service Award must score an average grade of A between November 1st of the year previous to the grading year up through October 31st of the grading year. This is the best-possible glimpse of your service provider’s current performance.
